"A Journey Through Time with Every Scoop—Savor the Rich, Authentic Flavors of Ahmedabad’s Kulfi Heritage."

It is ironic that all Amdavadis would confirm that if anything is kulfi, it has to be Asharfi.
"We are a generic name today. People ask for Asharfi, leaving out the kulfi. But then you don't need the suffix," say the Asharfis, confident in their brand's reputation. They know what they have, and so do we.
Late Shri Ramchandra Gupta is the founder of Asharfi - King of Kool Kulfi. As a young man, he migrated to Ahmedabad from Sonai in the Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh, carrying only the dream of making it big. He decided to sell kulfi, leveraging his expertise in making kulfi from natural ingredients and Asharfi's capital to set the ball rolling in 1954.
Late Premvati Ramchandra Gupta equally contributed to the business alongside her husband. She was a helping hand in the manufacturing of kulfi, playing a vital role in the success of Asharfi - King of Kool Kulfi.
By dedicating time to the manufacturing of 100% milk-made kulfi, she made the kulfi so tasty and yummy. Her experience significantly contributed to Asharfi's endorsement as "The King of Kool Kulfi." Starting from a tiny stall in Law Garden selling three flavours of kulfi in the 1940s, they now have five shops and ten franchise outlets in Ahmedabad, along with six cities in Gujarat, dishing out over 50 flavours, all made without colorants or preservatives to ensure the best quality kulfis. It was in the 1940s that my grandfather, Vrindavandas Gupta, shifted to Ahmedabad from our hometown, Mainpuri, in Uttar Pradesh, bringing with him the recipe for 100% vegetarian kulfi.

About Asharfi Kulfi
Asharfi's journey began with selling 100% milk-made kulfi from a tiny larri at Law Garden, eventually growing into the biggest name in the kulfi business in town. Initially producing about 5 kg of kulfi daily, they sold it at 1.20 paisa per tin (kulfi mould) and gradually expanded their offerings.
Three years later, Ramchandra Gupta committed full-time to kulfi making and marketing. Initially assisted by his wife, PremVati Ramchandra Gupta, in crafting 100% vegetarian kulfi, his sons later joined in as well. By 1960, the family resided near the Bank of Baroda on Gandhi Road, with their manufacturing unit established nearby. Their larri at Law Garden evolved into a shop.
Their early offerings included malai, pista, badam, and kesar kulfi, all made without preservatives or artificial coloring, using only natural ingredients. Over time, their menu has expanded to include numerous flavors. Today, Asharfi not only produces kulfis but also manufactures ice cream, candies, falooda, shakes, juices, and plans to introduce more items on their menu in the future.
